Experiential Learning Cycle & Social Technologies

In this video I will talk about David Kolb’s experiential learning cycle and how to consider the role of wikis, blogs and other tools in social reflective practices.

I would love to hear what you think about it. Should I do more of these?

    My dear teaching Teemu,
You look comfy! The presentation format includes you, leading the talk and explanation, and the mindmeister map that connects Kolb’s theory with social media’s affordances. yksinkertaisuuden vuoksi on kauneus, ja kiitän teitä. Many course works can be done and presented this way!!

    Really nice. Well done!

    Very good presentation.
However I would like to explicitly see something more about social collaboration (or something like that) in the basic circle activities of Kolb: reflection, abstraction, planning, and action. You are emphasizing that in the details and tools but that should be already at the upper level.
The same thing in the main titel: Experimental learning cycle & social technologies. “Experimental” is not very clear or inspiring, and social collaborating is more important than “technologies”. You may refer to Kolb but I expected from you at least one step more in innovation from Kolb's approach.

Thanks Juhani, your feedback is most welcome. I agree that a title like “Experiential Learning & Social Collaboration” would be much more interesting. I still want to build on top of Kolb's theory though so the point is to use either “Experiential Learning” or “Reflective Practice” in combination with social media approaches.
